Egypt is officially known as the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is in north-eastern Africa with its capital located in its largest city, Cairo. Egypt also extends into Asia by virtue of holding the Sinai Peninsula. Egypt is bordered by Israel and the Gaza to the north-east, by Sudan to the south and by Libya to the west. The country is bounded by the Mediterranean and Red Seas (to the north and east respectively) and geographically dominated both by the Nile River and its fertile well-watered valley, and by the Eastern and Western deserts.
Arrive in Cairo – Capital of Egypt; also known as "the Mother of the World"; you will be met by your friendly local representative outside the baggage hall and transferred to your hotel in a private car. Check in and freshen up. Evening visit the pyramids of Giza and sphinx, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Continue to visit the papyrus & perfume factory where you will have some time for shopping. Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Egyptian museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt's Pharaonic period especially treasures of king Tut ankh Amun. Rest of the evening free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
After breakfast at the hotel, check - out of the hotel & transfer to Cairo domestic airport for your flight to Aswan. Aswan is Egypt’s premier winter resort, offering a delightful, natural beauty, a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere with a warm & dry climate. On arrival, meet & assist and then depart to visit the High Dam. Later transfer to Nile Cruise, check-in and relax. In the afternoon, Sail by a felucca / Motor Boat around the Elephantine Island & Agha Khan Mausoleum. Enjoy delicious Lunch & dinner on board. Overnight on board the Nile Cruise.
After breakfast on board, sail onto Kom Ombo where you visit the Kom Ombo temple shared by the Gods Sobek & Haroeris. Continue along the Nile to Edfu. Visit The Temple of Horus – Edfu. A very well preserved Egyptian temple, much newer than other temples. Enjoy Lunch and Dinner on board. Overnight on board the Nile Cruise.
Breakfast on board. From Edfu you sail to Esna, pass the Esna Lock & sail to Luxor. After Lunch on Board, Visit the East bank - Karnak & Luxor Temple. Though Ramses II's triumphant twin statues stand sentry at its entrance, it was Amenhotep III who built the bewildering Temple of Luxor. Over the years, several of Egypt's legendary rulers added to the glory of the Temple of Luxor, from Tutankhamun to Alexander the Great. Dinner and Overnight on Board.
After a buffet breakfast on board, disembark. Later we visit the West Bank – Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut & Colossi of Memnon - These are the first ruins visible when arriving by ferry. Later proceed to Luxor airport to board the flight to Cairo. On arrival; transfer to your hotel to check-in and relax. Rest of the evening is free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
