Upon arrival in Hanoi, your Indochina adventure begins with a warm welcome from your local guide and driver. Explore Vietnam's capital city with visits to the iconic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (exterior viewing), the atmospheric Train Street, and the historic Joseph's Cathedral. Continue to Sword Lake with its picturesque Ngoc Son Temple. After breakfast, depart for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay (approximately 3 hours). After breakfast, journey to Ba Na Hills and ascend by cable car, enjoying spectacular views along the way. Explore charming old French villas, cross the suspension bridge, and visit Nui Chua and the Mountain Peak at an elevation of 1,487 meters. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before visiting the famous Cu Chi underground tunnel system, an extensive 200 km network used by Vietnamese guerillas during the American War. This remarkable complex features numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. Exploring the remaining tunnels provides a unique insight into underground wartime life. Return to the city for your overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh.
After breakfast, embark on a day trip to the Mekong Delta. Visit My Tho, a peaceful town on the banks of the Mekong River, and explore the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda. Take a boat ride to visit local homes and orchards, a coconut candy workshop, and a honeybee farm. Experience the tranquility of the delta with a sampan ride through palm-shaded creeks.
