Climate of Sikkim

Sikkim experiences diverse climate zones based on altitude. Lower regions (below 2000m) maintain subtropical conditions with temperatures between 15-30°C. Mid-altitude areas (2000-4000m) experience temperate climate with summer temperatures of 15-20°C and winter readings occasionally dropping below freezing. Higher regions (above 4000m) have alpine conditions with temperatures frequently below freezing and heavy snowfall during winter.
